On June 23 -24 , from 1 to 6pm, French composer vocalist Muriel Louveau presents
” Vocals in the Dark “a multi layered vocal & sound piece that combines words and singing in foreign languages. This project was inspired by poems of the american artist Elizabeth Hayes Christopher.
This meditative and immersive artistic experience is set in darkness and transports the visitor to foreign territories.

About Muriel Louveau:
Muriel Louveau is a french composer, performer and singer. After various experiences in the literary world, she focused on music producing contemporary vocal melodies inspired by ancient music as well as extra european languages Festivals and International events include those in the USA, New York (Next Wave Festival at Brooklyn Academy of Music, Le Poisson Rouge , Galapagos Arts Space), Conservatory of Peabody Baltimore (2011 )and in Europe ,SKIFF in St Petersburg, French Spring 2007 festival (Latvia) Europe XXL Lille 3000 2009(France )Schau Raume (Austria).Recent new collaborative performances (2014 and 2015) at Theaterlab , NYC, with dancer Emily Marie Pope. About Elizabeth Hayes Christopher:
Elizabeth Christopher is an internationally recognized artist and published writer. Elizabeth studied art history at the University of London, and art, photography and poetry at Bowdoin College, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1986. After college, she continued her artistic exploration in New York City. As part of this artistic immersion, she studied design at Parsons School of Design and The New York Botanical Garden, and creative writing at New York University. Her creative streams are fed by personal excavation, nature, global travel, fashion and design, and shared life experiences with other cultures. Artistic assignments have taken her to over 25 countries, including China, France, India, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Chile/ Easter Island, Mexico, Ecuador/ Galapagos Islands, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar (Burma), Greece and others.
