"GIFT ART AND GIVE HOPE" is a multifaceted fundraiser offering a night of laughs, music, poetry and diverse creative expression to promote awareness about food insecurity in NYC where artists have chosen to donate a minimum of 20% of the proceeds of each art sale to CITY HARVEST - New York City’s largest food rescue organization, helping to feed the nearly 1.2 million New Yorkers who are struggling to put meals on their tables.
Featuring a variety of original visual artworks including, mixed media artist Nicole Washington; expressionist paintings by Ife Sekhem, Keneda Gibson, Kassandre De Jesus, Asya Abdrahman and Pesu - with black light shamanic art by Tico Chango, visionary art & photography prints by Madi Dangerously & more. *
Along with dynamic performances throughout the night by local NYC artists - featuring comedy by Dom O Briggs, live music by multilingual songstress Trezure Empire, recording & performing artist - Path P, singer/songwriter - Wumxnn; opening the evening with transcendent spoken word poetry by Madi Dangerously and special LIVE original painting by Harlem surrealist mural artist, Marthalica Matarita.
Presented by "KIND OF BLU3" - an art-for-healing exhibition series, partnering progressive, contemporary and abstract art & photography works with prevalent social causes to bring awareness and fundraising to dedicated non-profit partners. Inspired by the color blue, this series evokes peace, free expression, emotional & spiritual healing and highlights works that emphasize and contribute these communal conversations, curated by Treat The World, Inc.
Our fundraising partner Metalicious with our help is looking to raise $30,000. We have reached $22,000 and hope to meet our goal out of the next few events.
