Author Ron Singer, publisher Kassahun Checole and exhibiting artist Francks Deceus will discuss what it means to be a refugee in today's world.
Ron will read passages from his writings, on the theme of “Africa’s internal refugees.”
Francks, whose painting installation, Mumbo Jumbo, is currently on display in the Plus/Space, will speak about the experience of Haitian refugees in the U.S.
Kassahun, the publisher of Africa World Press/Red Sea Press, will speak about his life as an exile from Eritrea.
The event will begin at 3:30pm in the Plus/Space.
