RECUERDO / REMEMBER

An interactive performance event that explores memories made and lost. Using new and defunct media as metaphors for the wonders and fallibilities of human memory, the piece invites the audience to recall and create memories anew - and perhaps make something with their hands too.

Founded in 2001, Anonymous Ensemble is a New York City- based theater company that devises new performances, interactive media, and unique theatrical events. Anonymous Ensemble has performed in theaters, found spaces, and festivals all over New York City, as well as nationally and internationally. They have been innovators in the development of a new form of hybrid real space and online performance that is both locally engaged and global in scope. Whether in virtual or real space, the ensemble prioritizes creating new experiences of community through live performances and giving voice and agency to our audiences and collaborators in our explorations of the human condition,  collective storytelling, and the limitless possibilities of imagination.
