A puppet play conceived and performed by Christopher Lyon.
Adapted from a radio drama that William Gaddis edited from the text of his final novel, Agapē Agape.
The monologue—abrasive, grimly funny, and finally touching—is delivered by a man confined to a hospital bed, who rails against technology at the service of entertainment, bemoans the loss of creative values when “everyone is an artist,” and makes a mess of his estate plans as he falls apart physically.
