tuesday, august 24, 7-9pm
An outdoor evening of dance, music, poetry, storytelling and more. All performers are local residents of all ages of St. Johns Place and Prospect Heights.
Heidi Riegler has choreographed the performances into an unusual event. Framed by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, local storytellers, performers, dancers and musicians interpret this classic love story, mixing the plot with hip hop dance, music sessions, performance acts and stand-up comedy.
The event will bring together the neighborhood community and the artistic community in an evening of enjoyment and friendly relations; a mission that is becoming the trademark of five myles.
The event will take place on the sidewalk in front of five myles.
Admission is free.
